About Belgin Francis

Belgin Francis is a luxury leather atelier founded in New York in October 2001. Every piece in our collection is handcrafted in Turkey from premium Grade A lambskin, designed and curated in our New York studio, and delivered with the kind of attention that twenty-five years of small-house luxury makes possible.

Our work is recognized by a single signature: the Leaf — a botanical motif first drawn by Belgin Francis in the atelier's founding year, then cut into Turkish lambskin by hand or by laser depending on the piece. The signature appears across every silhouette the house produces: jackets, vests, tunics, ponchos, cropped silhouettes, and blouses. The pattern is the same in every collection; the way the leather wears it is never identical.

The Belgin Francis workshop in Turkey has operated continuously since the atelier's first year. Roughly twelve full-time artisans contribute to each season's collection, several of whom have been with the brand for more than a decade. Production volumes are kept deliberately small so every piece can pass through hand-finishing without compromise. A single hand-cut tunic typically represents fifty to sixty hours of artisan time before it reaches a customer.

Sizing in our collection extends from 3XS through 8XL across most silhouettes — a deliberate decision the atelier is quietly proud of. Luxury leather has historically been made for one narrow silhouette of woman; we have tried, season by season, to widen that range.
