Tunic

The Belgin Francis tunic collection is where the atelier’s love of length meets its respect for movement. Each tunic is cut from premium Turkish lambskin and hand-finished to drape rather than hang, with the slightly-relaxed shoulder line and elongated silhouette that defines the house’s approach to outerwear-as-statement.

The signature pieces — the wide-collar leaf-pattern tunic and the long shamrock series — are designed to be the centerpiece of an outfit, not a layer beneath one. They wear beautifully over a simple shell and tailored trouser, over a column dress for evening, or, most often in our New York atelier’s experience, on their own with bare legs and a heeled sandal.

Every tunic in this collection takes between thirty and sixty artisan hours to complete, depending on the complexity of the cut pattern. The leaf-cut work is done by hand on the longer pieces — laser cutting is fast, but it cannot replicate the slight intentional irregularity that catches light differently with every step. That irregularity is the signature, and it is what separates a handcrafted Belgin Francis tunic from anything made on a production line.

Belgin Francis was founded in New York in October 2001. Every piece in this collection is handcrafted in Turkey and curated in our New York atelier, available in sizes 3XS through 8XL because luxury should never require apology for shape.
