Jacket
The Belgin Francis jacket collection gathers more than two decades of handcrafted Turkish leather artistry into a single, considered edit. Every jacket begins as premium lambskin sourced from generations-old Turkish tanneries — the same workshops that have supplied Europe's leather houses for a century — and passes through the hands of artisans who hand-cut, laser-cut, fringe, or stud each piece by hand. The result is leather that feels lived-in from the first wear, with the structure and softness only true craftsmanship produces.
At the heart of the collection sits the signature Leaf series: jackets cut with botanical patterns so precise they appear drawn rather than incised, the sheer mesh beneath catching light through every motion. Around it the collection expands into more dramatic territory — multi-layered fringe pieces with forty hours of hand-work in each, criss-cross diamond patterns, Ottoman-inspired tribal motifs, snakeskin laser-cuts, and the stained-glass cathedral series that fragments leather into colored shards of light.
Style notes: the laser-cut pieces wear effortlessly over silk, cotton, or denim and translate from atelier-visit to dinner without changing register. The fringe and statement pieces ask for less competition — a plain tank, a cigarette pant, perhaps a single ring. Most jackets in this collection are made to size up to 8XL, because luxury leather should fit every woman, not just one silhouette of her.
Belgin Francis was founded in New York in October 2001 with a single conviction: that luxury leather should be wearable, expressive, and made by human hands. Every jacket in this collection is handcrafted in Turkey and curated in our New York atelier.
